Forge — Privacy Policy

This policy describes what data the Forge iOS app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain English. Where a section uses a legal term (like "controller" or "lawful basis"), we explain it.

This Privacy Policy works alongside the Forge Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Forge app. Please read both before using Forge.

1. Who runs Forge

Forge is built by Gray ("we", "us"), the developer team of Gordon Leung and Raymond Tan. For data-protection purposes, Gordon Leung is the data controller of any personal information described below and your point of contact for any privacy-related request.

2. The short version

We collect the minimum data needed to run the app.
Your first name, journal entries, photos, and daily progress stay on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers.
We use Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to power the optional accountability-partner feature. Only an anonymous handle and aggregated daily progress are shared — never your name, birthday, or journal contents.
We use PostHog (analytics) and Sentry (crash reports) to improve the app. Both receive only pseudonymous data — never your real name.
Users under 18 have analytics disabled, cannot subscribe, and cannot pair with a partner. Anyone under 13 cannot use the app.
You can export or delete all your data from inside the app at any time.
